So much for the stars
The stars had aligned...I was going to get a nap! Ellie was on the couch, food at her side, TV in front of her face. She was good for a while. Leah was fed, diaper changed, and snuggled in her baby carrier in the laundry room, listening to the dryer. For some reason that sometimes helps her sleep better. We weren't expecting visitors, the phone was turned off, the house was quiet. Yes! I crawled into bed, got all comfy, and waited to drift off into my much needed oblivion. And waited. And waited some more. Aaaggghhhh! I was wasting my sleep time because I couldn't fall asleep! Check the clock- one more hour until Leah would want to eat. Listen for a minute- Ellie's still watching tv. Try to relax. Start drifting....so warm....so quiet....WAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Leah's cry is like a shot of adrenalin right to the heart. I bolt upright in bed, then go get the little critter who thinks she needs to eat every half-hour to maintain her girlish figure. Oh well. Maybe the stars will align tomorrow.

Been there. Anna thought she should be attached to me at all times. I felt lucky if I got to brush my teeth.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I remember you commenting when Sienna was tiny about how you missed those days of them sleeping 18 hours a day ;) Problem is you never know how long it will last!! Can't wait to meet Leah :)
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeleteOne more reason that I loved to nurse while lying down in bed...the baby could eat while I took a nap!
ReplyDeleteOh, and the link your hubster asked about: missingmoney.com. If a state that you lived in isn't in their database. you can also search the official state website and you should be able to find an unclaimed property tab somewhere (here's an example of California's: http://www.sco.ca.gov/upd.html)
