It's mandatory

Apparently if you live in Texas it's mandatory to get pictures of your children in the beautiful Texas Bluebonnets. We went on a Saturday afternoon. The flowers were lovely, but it was a humid 85* outside, and when we got to where the flowers were I realized my memory card was at home, in my computer. Blast. We went to Microcenter and got another one which I had been wanting anyway. By the time we got back to the flowers we were all out of sorts, and it was blazing hot. The kids and the photographer (me) were grouchy, the air was full of gnats that were attracted to sweat, and it was NOT FUN. "Smile or you'll be sent to time out!" Dave was holding a blanket in an effort to shade the kids so they could even open their eyes in the sun. Leah was the only one willing to cooperate for more than a picture or two. This is a true case of pictures NOT reflecting reality. But, we did it, we have pictures of our children in the bluebonnets, all is well in the universe.

  3. If you hadn't said they were grumpy, I never would have known. What beautiful smiles they have. And the smiles look genuine. The flowers are gorgeous.
